Hedi was born in a little town called Morag in Poland. At that time her father was a freelance photographer
and her mother a homemaker. A few years later, her family left Poland for France where they spent four years
before moving to the United States. In the United States, they established permanent residence in Connecticut,
a place Hedi calls home.
Her Father's influence and her love of nature drew her to pursue photography. It started as a hobby and
turned into a full time endeavor after Hedi left her insurance career to pursue her passion. Her inspiration
comes from the beauty of the New England's landscape as well as from her travel. The subject matter of
her photography is varied but the majority of it is nature photography. She says "What strikes her and moves
her is what she photographs."
Her work can be seen on exhibit in Connecticut Galleries at various times during the year.
Hedi resides in Connecticut with her husband, Roland M. Pike and their two cats Hobbes and Heba.
